In amendment, the Honourable Senator Rompkey, P.C., moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Losier-Cool, that Bill S-20 be not now read the second time but that the subject-matter thereof be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs; and
That the Order to resume debate on the motion for the second reading of the bill remain on the Order Paper and Notice Paper.
